❓ Frequently Asked Questions – PRP Hair & Facial Rejuvenation

💉 What is PRP therapy?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a natural treatment using your own blood to extract plasma rich in growth factors. This is then injected into your skin or scalp to stimulate collagen, regenerate tissue, and promote hair growth. It’s often called the “vampire facial” when used on the face.

🌍 Where can I get PRP therapy near me in Norfolk or Suffolk?

We offer PRP face and hair therapy at Lapwing Aesthetics, conveniently located to serve clients in Norwich, Ipswich, Diss, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft, and across Norfolk and Suffolk within a 40-mile radius.

🧑‍🦲 Is PRP good for hair loss?

Yes. PRP therapy is widely used to treat thinning hair and early-stage hair loss by stimulating dormant hair follicles, improving scalp circulation, and strengthening existing hair strands. It is suitable for both men and women.

👩‍🔬 How does PRP facial rejuvenation work?

PRP facials involve injecting your own enriched plasma into the skin to boost collagen production, reduce fine lines, improve tone and texture, and give a natural glow. It’s ideal for dull, ageing, or acne-scarred skin.

🕒 How long does a PRP treatment take?

A typical PRP session lasts between 45 to 60 minutes, including consultation, numbing (if required), and the treatment itself.

📆 How many sessions of PRP do I need?

Most clients require a course of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal results, followed by maintenance treatments every few months.

🩸 Is PRP therapy painful?

Discomfort is minimal. A numbing cream is applied for facial treatments, and a fine needle is used for injections. Scalp treatments may cause mild discomfort but are generally well tolerated.

🧬 Is PRP therapy safe?

Yes — PRP is 100% natural and uses your own blood, which reduces the risk of allergic reactions or complications. At Lapwing Aesthetics, all treatments are performed by trained medical professionals in a sterile environment.

💰 What is the cost of PRP therapy?

Prices vary depending on whether you're having PRP for hair or face, and how many sessions you need. Contact us directly for customised pricing and package options.
